Elder Care Mediation

Get help deciding about senior care

To Transform Conflicts and Find Common Ground

Elder Care Mediation is a voluntary and confidential process that offers a safe opportunity for people to talk about controversial issues, listen carefully to each others’ opinions, feelings, and needs, and empowers them to find solutions that address everyone’s concerns. The mediator is a neutral third party, who can model and promote effective communication skills in the face of strong emotions.

At AGING IN HARMONY, we understand and accommodate the special needs of older adults, adult children and aging services providers experiencing family conflicts. Our Elder Care Mediation Services include:

  • pre-mediation sessions with all parties by phone, Zoom or in person
  • choice of convenient mediation locations in the Greater San Francisco Bay Ares or online meetings via Zoom
  • choice of time and duration of mediations, including evenings and weekends
  • multiple mediation sessions available if desired
ELDER CARE MEDIATION–finding solutions for family conflicts about senior care that work for all generations.

“After two mediation sessions with a few members of my family, the groundwork was established on how to communicate in the safe setting that Katharina provided. The way she was able to communicate with my elder mother, who is an immigrant to the US, was truly amazing. Major barriers were overcome and now there is more open communication and tools we continue to use.”
